Year 5 Assembly

Primary 5 produced a TV programme for their assembly – ‘Science Alive with the Primary Fives’. They began with a song about the planets of the Solar System, led by the all-important star of the show, the sun. We learned why planet Earth is the only planet with life and heard all about the ‘blanket’ around us that helps stop the sun’s heat escaping. They described global warning and the effect this is having on Earth. Most importantly, they suggested ways in which we can help to protect our precious planet. Bulletins were beamed live throughout the programme from our two reporters way up in the International Space Station. They also kept us entertained with plenty of space jokes! Primary 5 finished their assembly with a lovely rendition of Saving Earth.
This assembly was special for Primary 5 because the entire class was able to prepare and participate together. We are very proud of you all, well done!
